Summer
"La Vieille Ferme"... a luxury alpine retreat
Trekking / Hiking / Walking
Every summer, the alpine meadows burst into life and look fantastic, so what could be better than a leisurely walk or organized hike along wonderful mountain paths, accompanied by experienced and knowledgeable guides to track or spot the fauna and flora of the Alps.
By all means investigate the area yourselves, but the local guides
offer various high-mountains treks - glacier walking; individual hikes on rocky escarpments; snow or mixed terrain; so that you can experience the world of the high ranges, glaciers and famous summits.
For the less hardy, you can take one of the many chair lifts that stay
open in the Morzine - Avoriaz area in the summer.
Paragliding
Steve trained with "Sky Systems" in 1990 and gained his BHPA Pilot rated license, swiftly followed by his Dual Rating and Club Coach endorsement. Since then he has gained several hundreds of hours of air time in the UK, and in France during many
trips to the Alps and Annécy; developing strong connections with the alpine paragliding community who frequent the region, and has an ever increasing knowledge of the demanding local conditions.
To those new to, or revisiting the Alps, Steve will gladly offer advise; recommend the best sites for any given weather condition; and offer alternative site suggestions to the now very popular and over crowded sites with their inevitable queuing for launch. [B.H.P.A. licence holders only]
Annecy
Should you wish to do a day's flying in the Annecy area [which is only an hour away]
we work closely with Irwyn Jehu of Maison du Moulin in Doussard, Annecy, who can
guide you around the local area and take offs, plus advise on weather conditions around the lake.
